Nordic Network for Lifelong Learning
The Nordic Network for Lifelong Learning (NLL) supports Nordic cooperation in policy development and implementation regarding lifelong learning and competence development. NLL is a collaborative platform for adult education providers and policy makers. NLL builds interdisciplinary networks across all the Nordic countries, focusing on the priorities of the Nordic Council of Ministers. More about NLL here.

A yearly meeting place to discuss this important issue has been organised by the European Basic Skills Network (EBSN) in Lisbon 17-19 June 2026.
The one-pager Sustainable practices for Nordic networks outlines how NLL networks commit to working more sustainably in practice.
Several new thematic reports and articles based on PIAAC Cycle 2 have now been published. PIAAC examines adults’ skills in areas such as literacy, numeracy and problem solving.
