Microcredentials in the Nordic region

Based on the report “Microcredentials in a Nordic perspective,” which offers an insightful investigation and analysis of microcredentials in the Nordic countries and self-governing regions, this policy brief recommends and lays the groundwork for informed decision-making if and when countries decide to include microcredentials in national and regional standards and systems.

New policy brief on microcredentials in the Nordic region

In the policy brief, recommendations addressing five levels of stakeholders are suggested for the further process of developing a systematic framework for the use of microcredentials across the Nordic region. The five levels of stakeholders include:

  • The learner
  • The provider in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Social partners
  • Society
  • Policy makers
