Micro-credentials: Fremtidens kompetansebevis?

Vi står overfor en tid der kompetansebehovene i arbeidsmarkedet endrer seg raskere enn noensinne. For å møte disse utfordringene, har micro-credentials blitt et stadig mer anerkjent virkemiddel for å dokumentere og synliggjøre spesifikke ferdigheter og kunnskaper. Men hva er egentlig micro-credentials i ulike nasjonale kontekster, og hva kan være nytten av dem?

Denne konferansen samler eksperter, utdanningsinstitusjoner og nordiske utdanningsmyndigheter for å utforske hvordan micro-credentials kan spille en rolle i fremtidens arbeidsmarked. Gjennom presentasjoner og diskusjoner vil vi belyse dagens status, potensialet i fremtidige løsninger, og nasjonale og internasjonale muligheter for utdanningssektoren.

Sammen med EPALE Norge inviterer vi deg til å bli med på en ettermiddag fylt med innsikt og dialog om hvordan micro-credentials kan bli en del av morgendagens utdanning og arbeidsmarked.

Høydepunkter fra programmet:

• Hva er micro-credentials og hva er status i dag? Shizuka Kato fra OECD kommer for å gi oss en oppdatering fra analyser og rapporter på feltet.
• Trenger vi nasjonale retningslinjer for micro-credentials? Petri Haltia fra Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture i samtaler med Minna Hiillos, Vice President I Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences og Jukka Mäkinen, Director Education and Learning, Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Finland.
• Maria Ranta fra FORTHEM Alliance vil bidra med begrepsavklaring og universitetsalliansens vurderinger av nytteverdien micro-credentials kan ha for individ og samfunn.
• Trym Eystein Holbek fra ECIU Alliance/Universitetet i Stavanger kommer for å vise oss fremtidige muligheter for micro-credentials i norsk og europeisk høyere utdanning.
• I Sverige har myndighetsorganer og forskningsinstituttet RISE laget en metode og en svensk modell for dokumentasjon og anerkjennelse av individets læring og kompetanser gjennom micro-credentials, kalt Kompetenspasset, ved Linnéa Svenman Wiker, RISE og Ann-Sofi Vincent, Skellefteå Kommune.

Micro-credentials: The Future of Skills recognition?

We are facing a time where competence needs in the labor market are changing faster than ever before. To navigate these challenges, micro-credentials have emerged as an increasingly recognized tool for documenting and showcasing specific skills and knowledge. But what exactly are micro-credentials in different national contexts? What benefits can they offer?

This conference brings together experts, educational institutions, and Nordic education authorities to explore the role micro-credentials can play in the future job market. Through presentations and discussions, we will examine the current landscape, explore potential future solutions, and discuss opportunities in both national and international education sector.

Together with EPALE Norway, we invite you to join us for an afternoon filled with insights and dialogue about how micro-credentials can contribute to shaping the future of education and working life.

Highlights from the program:

• What are micro-credentials and what is the status today? Shizuka Kato from OECD will provide us with an update from analyses and reports in the field.
• Do we need national guidelines for micro-credentials? Petri Haltia from the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture in conversation with Minna Hiillos, Vice President I Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, and Jukka Mäkinen, Director Education and Learning, Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Finland.
• Maria Ranta from the FORTHEM Alliance will contribute with conceptual clarification and the alliance’s assessments of the benefits micro-credentials can have for individuals and society.
• Trym Eystein Holbek from ECIU Alliance/University of Stavanger will show us future possibilities for micro-credentials in Norwegian and European higher education.
• In Sweden, government agencies and the research institute RISE have created a method and a Swedish model for documentation and recognition of an individual’s learning and competencies through micro-credentials, called Kompetenspasset. Presented by Linnéa Svenman Wiker, RISE and Ann-Sofi Vincent, Skellefteå Kommun.
